Taiwan Blue Magpie (Urocissa caerulea)

                 Endemic to the country is the beautiful  Taiwan Blue Magpie  also known as the "long tailed mountain lady". The bird has been featured on several Taiwanese stamps and this time was chosen for an ATM label and the commemorative pictorial cancel for the recent "Philataipei 2016" World Stamp Expo

Green Peafowl ( Pavo muticus)


The Green peafowl ( Pavo muticus) also known as the Burmese peafowl, Green-necked peafowl, or Java peafowl is famous for the fabulous train carried by the male bird with over 200 tail feathers which end in eye-spots of blue, brown and gold. The Green Peafowl is less well-known than it's Indian cousin, but some say it is more spectacular
