Showing two different Singapore cancels, single ring from 1956 and double ring 1964.
Now you see an outstanding bird ,endemic to SE Asia, White-rumped Sharma (Copsychus malabaricus) with it's rich and melodious call making them very desireable as cage birds for singing competitions.
Here you will see birds on stamps with clear postmarks to show where the birds have flown from. These places have been plotted on the Google map of Traveling Birds. http://goo.gl/JcbeKc . Click on any bird name beside the map to see the stamps. I hope you enjoy traveling with the birds.

Mountain Lakes-Ring-necked Pheasant
My dear friend Natalie never forgets to add a bird stamp... A 1996 Common Pheasant, otherwise known as the ring-necked pheasant (Phasianus colcicus) was tucked besides a couple of my favorite musicians on the back of a postcard showing a more genteel way of playing table tennis. :)

During my recent holiday in Finland I was lucky enough to see one of these colorful little birds in the trees around the cottage. The reddish/pink color is quite striking and makes the bird easy to identify. Postmark is from Hameelinna , on a stamp which is the same bird as the postcard. had they been on the same side it wculd have been a maxi-card.

Poland-White Stork
The White Stork (Ciconia ciconia) is a very large bird with a wing-span of more than two meters. The bird is a long-distance migrant from their summer breeding grounds as far north as Finland, the birds will travel as far south as South Africa for a warmer winter. Thanks to my friend Witti who kindly sent me this colorful pre-paid card from Szcezecin, Poland.
