Indonesia- Flores hawk-eagle

A trio of Flores Hawk-Eagles ( Spizaetus flores) flew in from Malang, Indonesia applied on a commemorative envelope for the Year of the Snake 2013. This critically endangered, large handsome eagle, endemic to the Lesser Sunda islands feeds on lizards, l birds, snakes and small mammals.

 Arrived today the 2012 latest issue of Endangered birds with the Bird Life logo from Indonesia.  Attractive stamps with minimal background , so the bird is clearly seen and identified. Cancelled at Jakapos office, each stamp  has the same value of  2500r.
